Fantastic atmosphere at corporate run in the Deutsche Bank Park
Don your team jersey, slip into your athletic shorts, tie up your running shoes – and off you go! Embracing the B2Run motto "Active Together," an energetic group of 30 First Climate employees crossed the Deutsche Bank Park’s finish line on August 8th at the B2Run corporate run in Frankfurt am Main. This year, once again, all team members proudly sported sustainably made jerseys woven from recycled plastic bottles.
An impressive total of 2,600 participants, representing 132 companies, assembled at the starting line in Frankfurt, enjoying in the camaraderie and athleticism shared under favorable weather conditions along the 5.3 km running course. The course, winding through a lush urban forest, ended in the large stadium, where the participants celebrated each other’s finishes.
Yet, the spirit of unity was not only seen all along racecourse. Additional staff members from First Climate who didn’t actively participate as runners motivated their colleagues as enthusiastic cheerleaders. Their exuberant cheers resounded with genuine team spirit and culminated in a raucous reception at the team stand after the race. Afterwards, the shared sense of accomplishment was celebrated in a casual, but exuberant, atmosphere. There was even enough time and energy left to snap a few souvenir photographs of the unforgettable experience.
“Top-notch event, first-class atmosphere! Just like last year, our team had a lot of fun participating in the B2Run," said Mike Hatert, COO at First Climate, who rang the starting bell to launch the event. "We're proud to return as a climate protection partner of an event that brings so many people together, and promotes team building as well as health."
