E-world 2023 offered discussion forum for energy sector key stakeholders
This week, E-world energy & water – the largest energy industry exposition was held in Essen. From May 23rd to 25th, international decision makers from the economy, research and political sectors met at the exhibition fair to discuss possible solutions to successfully drive the energy transition. First Climate was onsite as an exhibitor with staff at a corporate booth in Hall 1 to drive the discourse on viable strategies for climate action.
During the fair, roughly 800 exhibitors from 27 countries presented innovative and pioneering solutions and technologies for a stable energy supply to the (trade) public and invited them to engage in dialog at their booths. The main focus of the wide-ranging conference and forum program was on energy security, decarbonization and the future of the energy industry. What became clear during the three-day event was, above all, that the switch from fossil to renewable energy sources is paramount for successful climate action.
First Climate also returned to Europe's leading energy trade fair this year after a Corona-mandated hiatus. The corporate hub at booth 322 in exhibition hall 1 was where a team of First Climate experts held detailed discussions with visitors on climate-related topics such as the development potential of renewable energy sources and project development. The enthusiasm for the renewed opportunity for networking and personal exchange of experience and information was palpable, as Sven Lafeld, Senior Key Account Manager Green Energy at First Climate, explains:
"After a two-year break following Corona, finally being back with an eye-catching booth at the leading trade fair for the energy industry in Essen and being able to hold personal discussions with our clients and numerous other industry participants was a tremendous opportunity for us to discuss measures for the energy transition with one another. Once again, we are taking away many valuable impulses that will aid us in advising our clients in the areas of renewable energy supply and decarbonization even better with individualized solutions."
In addition to the First Climate team, its affiliated companies VIRIDAD and Glacier were also represented at the booth this year. VIRIDAD presented its innovative digital platform solution for implementing the EU Taxonomy, while Glacier informed visitors about its offerings for climate action-related professional development specifically designed for companies and their workforce.
