Silver Renewable Energy and Science-Based Targets Partnership renewed
First Climate renews its long-term partnership with CDP as an accredited Silver Renewable Energy and Science-Based Targets Partner for the DACH regions for 2022. The accreditation recognizes First Climate’s expertise and reliability in supporting companies to implement climate change mitigation strategies and practices.
First Climate’s continued cooperation with CDP as a Silver Renewable Energy Partner demonstrates that First Climate meets strict quality standards when working with companies and organizations disclosing to CDP. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, First Climate works closely with companies to develop individualized renewable electricity procurement strategies that fit a company’s needs.
Reliable service
According to the United Nations, energy accounts for around 60% of greenhouse gas emissions and is the primary contributor to climate change. For companies looking to reduce their emissions, energy is therefore an important factor. As a CDP Silver Renewable Energy Partner, First Climate supports companies in successfully transitioning to green energy, reducing their scope 2 emissions and achieving a higher CDP score.
Additionally, as a CDP accredited Science-Based Targets partner, First Climate supports its clients to reduce emissions at a pace in line with global environmental commitments. First Climate helps companies to recognize climate-induced risks to business operations from an early stage and continuously monitors the impact of a company’s climate protection measures taken against the set targets.
“The CDP accreditation demonstrates that First Climate is a dependable partner for companies looking to transition to green energies and make sustainable changes aligned with science-based targets. We are excited to confirm our partnership with CDP and look forward to identifying opportunities for companies to make a positive climate impact and become leaders in the corporate environmental action space in 2022 and beyond,” says Mike Hatert, Head of Global Sales and Renewables at First Climate.
Paul Robins, Head of Corporate Partnerships, CDP, also commented:
“For years, the partnership with First Climate has brought highly valued expertise to the thousands of companies in the DACH region using CDP to disclose their environmental data. We are pleased to accredit First Climate again in 2022 as a valued, high-quality renewable energy and science-based targets service provider in the DACH region that offers expert support to companies on their journey to net-zero.”
